Sending items to the U.S. is now stricter than before. Every package must go through customs, even if it’s small or not expensive. This means duties and taxes may apply to all shipments. See
Every item entering the U.S. must be declared to Customs.
Importers may need an EIN (Employer Identification Number) or SSN (Social Security Number), especially if the item is valued above $2,500 or for business use.
Packages must have correct descriptions and values — not “gifts” or “samples” if they are actually for sale.
All information on your shipment should match what’s inside the box.
The U.S. Customs sometimes checks shipments physically before release.
See the General Prohibited Items Guide for the full list.
